The Venice Golf Club is situated on the southernmost tip of the Venice Lido Island. The clubhouse lies inside an old fortification constructed under the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
At certain holes the players still drive off from the old ramparts.
Between the open sea and the lagoon the air is healthy and nature stays unspoilt.
The Club House
At Venice Golf Club players and visitors are offered modern comfort with a traditional restaurant and a very welcoming bar.
Opening Times
The Venice Golf Club is open throughout the year except for working Mondays.
Nature of the Course
The course has 18 holes and is 6031m long from normal tees, and 6199m long from the championship tees. Par 72. Laid out on sand-dunes, it is one of the few links in Italy.
It winds through marvellous countryside with fine maritime pines and other well established vegetation. The water hazards, the greenery which fringes most of the fairways,
the natural sand of the bunkers and the sand-based rough make the play so technical interesting that the course is rated among the leading ten in Italy.
It was the venue for the Italian Open Championship in the years 1956 - 60 - and - 74. It has several times been awarded the Gold Star for Sporting Merit by C.O.N.I.
Its players have won numerous titles and National and International events, thanks to their merits, the golf teachers and the course where they develop their game.
